Apparently, MTV's new show 'Skins' is not appropriate to some viewers and even advertisers. Recently, a Schick representative told TMZ,
"After 'Skins' on MTV aired last week, the makers of Schick Hydro decided not to advertise during the program because some of this show’s content is not aligned with Schick corporate guidelines."
Other companies such as Subway, H&R Block, Taco Bell, Wrigley and GM have also decided to keep their advertisements from airing during the show. I personally watched the first episode and I really don't see what all the fuss is about. I can understand that the age of the cast is what makes the storyline so controversial, but people need to realize that kids in high school ARE having sex, drinking, and doing drugs. I think this is a real problem in our society because instead of accepting it as fact and trying to change it, we decide to ignore it all together and pretend that we're shocked when a show like this airs.
