8:08 pm- like the captain of the vasity sqaud. Obama comes in shaking hands and
small talking with his fellow politicians. You can tell that he's a people
person and really makes an effort to build relationships with people.

8:10 - House Speaker looks like a bitter grumpy old man as he shakes Obama's
hand. Surprisingly he says its his pleasure to welcome the president of the US.
I know like me, yall were waiting for the idiot to come out with another loud
ass comment like he pulled last year.

8:12- An empty chair was left for hurt senator Giffards. All stand and applaud.

8:13- Obama talks basically talks unity in association to the Giffard shooting,
'We are one people'.

8:14- Calls out the senators by basically saying, sitting together tonight
doesn't matter if we can't work together tomorrow.

8:17- Talking about the tax pay cuts that were taking this year and how our
pockets are a tad bit fluffier.

*Shoot all I've found in my pockets are lent & skittle!....and its the flavor I
hate! *tossing it to the ground*

8:19- Talking about how China is kicking out ass in damn near everything, most
recently the world's fastest computer and how education need to be a priority.

begins not in the classroom but in the homes. "TVs need to be turned off", "a
hero is not only the winner of the Super Bowl but also the winner of the science
fair".

8:30 Race to the top, a challenge issued as a education reform. Will replace
Bush's No Child Left Behind by a solution best fit for our children.
8:32 Many on the house floor stand to applaud a story about a high school with
poor ratings that was turned around. Again, when saying how good teachers are to
be rewarded. He wants 100,000 new teachers for the areas of Math & Science.

8:33 Obama tells young people to become a teacher.

the next year. You can hear literally like 10 people applaud.

8:53 Camera just panned over to a group of women in colorful suits looking like
bright ass Gobstoppers (red, yellow, green, blue & orange)

8:54 Damn, what's wrong with the Secretary of Commerce's left eye!? Looks like
horrible case of pink eye!

8:56 John McCain sole stands and applauds when Obama mentions denying bills with
Ear Marks. I'm starting to like the McCain guy. He's shown Obama some love
within the last weeks. Wonder if he's got something up his sleeve.....cause you
know he can't raise his arms high enough to keep something under both!

8:59 Shit my DVR changed my channel! Damn "Lights Out"! (And it better be a good
show, cause I keep dvr'ing that shit!....) Hmmm should I cancel the recording of

All I heard was something about bringing our troops back home.

9:02 GOT DANG! Hillary (Clinton) looks OLLLLLD now!!

9:06 Mentions how starting this year, Gays will not be questioned in the
military. House Speaker and some high ranking military men on the front row stay
seated and don't clap as many do.

9:09 Bidden looks like a silent assassin on a leash.
Obama mentions Bidden & the House Speaker in his speech, saying how they were
blue collar workers and are where they are now because of being given
opportunities living in America.

9:12 America started on people who started small but did big things. "Our
destiny remains our choice".

9:13 Great finish with a TKO for the win!

9:14 Damn, just realized I accidently changed it to Fox News when the DVR
changed it! This is cool. I want to see what they say and what the responses
look like on here.
So they sound confused by saying it looked like a different State of the Union
since Repubs and Demos sat by eachother.

9:16 Oh, Oh and the shit talking starts. Saying Obama spent too much time
talking about stuff that didn't matter. Were they even watching!? Or did they
have a Tea Party?

9:18 Ugh, there goes Jackson Lee again in her vomit lime green suit trying to
talk to Obama like she really knows him, even taking a look at the camera almost
to say, "yea that's my dude!" Get a life Jackson Lee!

9:20 Damn, Fox got a black journalist with a tan!? Guess its they're way of
'reaching out'.




9:22 Got tired of Fox, changed it back to CNN. Much better. No tension or
hating. Fox stays on their period!

9:24 And people say CNN is bias.....Roland Martin (a Black man, and they continue to
say all Blacks voted for Obama soley based on color.) says that he feels like Obama failed because he didn't mention the poor and those suffering by the economy.

REPUBLICAN RESPONSE: Paul Ryan, Budget Chairman

9:27 WOW, he actually agrees with Obama talking about national debit? This seems
to be a new face for the repubs. First, Masses of birds dying, Then cows, Now,
the Repubs are agreeing?

9:28 Spoke to soon, he used that statement to shoot down Obama's bills. Knew it
was too good! He claims the president is driving us to bankruptcy? Does he not
know Bush THE REPUB put us there!? Clinton damn near balanced the budget.....



9:30 Ok I'm done listening to this BS, gonna see what's going happening on "The
Game".

My 2 cents:

Overall, Obama is a rhetorical genius. Being a communication major, you can say
I know my shit.....and he's definitely on my list of top speakers. He's well
spoken and speaks in a way that all can relate to him. I give him two thumbs up.....Check out the OFFICIAL trascript below.
