WILL GREAT SEX KEEP YOU IN A SHITTY RELATIONSHIP?

I randomly came across this topic when thinking of friends, associates, and family members who are in OBVIOUSLY horrible relationships, but still stay together. If you know and the rest of your social circle knows that the person you are dating is just a grade A piece of shit then why do you stick around? Is it the money? Do you have a home and a child together?

I often catch myself thinking, well since they seem to argue all the time, maybe the makeup sex is just THAT damn good! I'm talkin' sex that makes you give up friendships, makes you randomly give this dude/chick money and clothes, has you cookin' post-sex sandwiches at 4 o'clock in the morning knowing you have work in a few hours! I'm guessing that a good hour of sex will make you forget how awful a person is; of course until the same issues surface again. I'm unsure of how one would get out of this cycle... but when I come up with a solution I'll be sure to let you know ;)
